Welcome to the Hippie Golf Society

... the friendly Golf Society established over 30 years ago for golfers who thought they might never play again.

For many golfers hip replacement surgery has provided an opportunity to go on enjoying their golf which provides the perfect exercise to aid their full recovery.

joint action

Today, replacement hip operations are somewhat commonplace but ongoing research into the improvement of orthopaedic treatment is as necessary as it ever was. So this society has decided to give its support to Joint Action, the charitable arm of the British Orthopaedic Association, which is responsible for this important work.

Golf is the sport recommended by the British Orthopaedic Association for hip replacement patients.

who

The society provides golfing opportunities that bring together people for whom the quality of life has been enhanced by hip surgery. We welcome new members and spouses/partners of members who are not “hippies” but who may like to play are most welcome to do so. Some spouses/partners come along for the dinner only.
